We are a husband and wife team with a passion for film and over 20 years experience in writing and filmmaking between us. Through the Film Festival, Mineral Wells Creates and our immersive summer movie series, we’re on a mission to bring some of the best films and filmmakers from around the world to Mineral Wells to entertain and inspire our local community.

Why Crazy?

Mineral Wells, TX was a renowned vacation destination in the early 20th century. The mineral springs residing underneath the town were rumored to cure all sorts of ailments. As legend goes, a crazy woman drank from the springs and became sane. The spring water was then dubbed “crazy water” and gave rise to many local businesses. Soon Presidents, outlaws, and everyone in between filled the local health resorts to experience the crazy water for themselves.

By adopting the “crazy” theme we hope to give a nod to the city’s unique heritage and our passion for film. We’ve combined both in Mineral Wells On Screen which we produced in partnership with The Texas Portal To History and Boyce Ditto Public Library. We hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane and can’t wait to welcome y’all to town this September!
